New Development of Fluorinated Polymers
Since Dr. Plunkett at the DuPont company has discovered polytetrafluoroethylene in 1938, many kinds of fluorinated polymers have been developed and new polymerization and processing technologies have also evolved. Recently, a new trend regarding the unique properties of fluorinated polymers is becoming obvious in various disciplines. In this special issue we focus on “polymer synthesis”, “polymer processing” and “new functional fluorinated polymers”. The technology for the recycling of fluorinated polymers and new applications in industrial fields are also introduced.
