The guidelines for application are as follows:
Eligibility
The applicant must be a member of the SPSJ and 45 years old or younger. The award should be given to a person whose creative and outstanding research is recognized to have made a great progress in these years in a field of either Polymer Chemistry or Physics.
Award
The award is given to two people maximum each year, one each from Chemistry and Physics field in polymer science. It covers all the polymer science areas such as polymer synthesis, reaction, structure, physical property, theory, function, material, industrial technology and so on. The applicant is requested to choose a field, either Chemistry or Physics.
The award winners are nominated by the Wiley Polymer Science Award Committee in the following selection process. The names of the Committee member will appear on our web site in June.
---1st stage: Screening by examining the application documents
---2nd stage: Selecting by hearing the applicants’ presentation
The award winner will receive a plaque and an honorarium of 250,000 yen. The award ceremony will be held during the SPSJ Macromolecular Symposium every year.
How to Apply
The application should be made by the applicant.
The documents described below shall be submitted to the Chairman of the award committee with one original and seven copies each. The guidelines for application can be obtained from the SPSJ office.
