technology to moderate earthquake forces transmitted to structures has
been widely developed, providing widespread use of variable seismic isolation

放射線加工による繊維状捕集材の開発 Fibrous Metal Ion Adsorbent Synthesized by Radiation Processing |

<要旨>Graft polymerization
is a radiation processing which can impart a desired functional group
into a trunk polymer. When a nonwoven fabric is selected as the trunk
polymer of the graft polymerization, a fibrous metal adsorbent can be
synthesized. The resulting fibrous adsorbent realizes extremely high
flow rate in the metal ion adsorption. The present paper describes the
characteristic of the fibrous adsorbent and the applications to removal

information to develop the safety and biocompatibility of materials utilized

decreasing material for constructional application; FDMC mainly consist
of cross-linked polymers, enabling it to absorb water and form hydrogels.
The gel form in FDMC mediates a friction decrease between soil and applied
constructional structures, providing the high level of lubrication performance.
A wide variety of constructional systems with FDMC have been developed

<要旨>Molecular
design of new monomers is the important core of development of new functional
materials. Several cyclic monomers such as amino acid N-carboxyanhydride
(NCA), 1,3-benzoxazine, and some specific lactones are becoming essential
monomers in the fields of biomaterials, aerospace materials, and high
performance adhesives for electronics, respectively. Molecular designs
of these monomers, their practical synthetic processes, and the current
status as well as the future prospect of their applications to functional
