COVER STORY
Visualizing Polymers Through Computers
The speed of computers increased rapidly in recent years. The algorithms and programs for numerical simulations and data processing are also rapidly developing. Computers can be utilized for research in the field of polymer science to “visualize” polymers in various ways. In this special issue, recent topics on visualization of polymers via computers from several different aspects, which are not limited to computer simulations, are shown. This issue covers, for example, an advance in computer simulations, an introduction to polymer simulations for beginners, and a polymer database for researches and a combination of experimental and computational methods.
