COVER STORY Materials Revolution with Polymers by Adding Something Extra |
Extra properties and functions, which are not achieved by individual polymer materials, can be obtained by adding something extra to polymer components. This is one of the important concepts to establish a new paradigm for polymer materials revolution. Recently, a wide range of innovative polymers have been developed by hybridizing them with semiconductor particles and biological materials including proteins and cells as well as inorganic materials. In this special feature, we will focus on the materials revolution with polymers by combining the parts different in material with each other.
