COVER STORY
Constructing Spaces from Polymers
Polymers with vacant spaces, pores, channels and voids have been synthesized by controlling molecular assemblies and polymer structures. Using these empty spaces and voids, various materials that enable storage, transportation, separation, and conversion of substrates, molecular recognition materials, structural materials, and electronic / optical materials have been constructed. In this special issue, we focus on how to design these vacant spaces based on polymer synthesis and assemblies, and hopefully readers enjoy the cutting-edge chemistry.
