COVER STORY Past, Present, and Future of the “Standards” in the Field of Polymer Science |
There exists a set of “standards” in each field of science. Science as a whole is developing with updating its “standards” continuously. Polymer science is particularly interdisciplinary and covers a wide range of fields from fundamental to applied, and then, we easily lose sight of what the current “standards” for polymer science are. In order to establish the foundation for the present and future development of polymer science, why don’t we take a look back at the history of “standards” in the various fields covered by polymer science and consider the path polymer science should take?
