Let’s Discuss Education with Dr. Polymer
Despite the fact that the polymer industry in Japan is one of the world’s leading industries, the number of faculties and departments in universities with the name of “polymer” is decreasing in Japan. And also, there are only few descriptions of polymers even in science textbooks for junior and senior high school students. Are polymers not attractive as a subject for science education? In this special issue, we then discuss the current status and future of polymer science as a subject of science education with teachers and researchers, who are actually teaching.
