The Society of Polymer Science, Japan (SPSJ) believes that international exchange is essential for maintaining and further advancing the standard of polymer science and technology in Japan. To this end, SPSJ actively engages in various international initiatives. One such initiative includes bilateral agreements with polymer-related organizations in other countries, aimed at promoting academic exchange and fostering collaborative networks. In January 2020, the Groupe Français d’Étude et d’Application des Polymères (GFP) and SPSJ co-hosted the Symposium on Polymer Science in Montpellier, France, to strengthen cooperation in the polymer field. Building on this collaboration, GFP and SPSJ will hold a joint symposium in Kitakyushu, Japan, in July 2025. Leading researchers from both France and Japan will participate, with the aim of deepening mutual understanding through academic presentations and expanding international networks. As part of the symposium, SPSJ is also planning a special session to promote interaction with companies involved in science and technology, particularly in the polymer field. We warmly invite you to join us at the symposium to explore cutting-edge polymer science and technology from both countries and to engage in meaningful networking opportunities.
