Future Polymer Science and Scientific Societies
This 2009 New Year's issue presents a special feature “Future Polymer Science and Scientific Societies”, a compilation of messages and commentaries to our Society from fourteen chemistry-related organizations in Japan. Despite featuring the domestic scientific societies, however, the issue is intended to convey not an “inward-looking” but an “outward-looking” approach of SPSJ to encourage her members and colleagues contemplate the future of polymer science and SPSJ in science and technology as well as in the global society: Where and whereto polymer science and scientific societies should be and go, beyond disciplinary boundaries and global boarders, and possibly beyond time.
(Editors: SAWAMOTO and IYODA)
