Self-Organization and Polymeric Materials
“Self-Organization” is the term commonly used in chemistry, physics, biology,
and mathematics. This term, which is associated with highly organized biological systems, is related to nano (bio) technologies in the field of materials science. In 2002, Kobunshi edited an issue entitled “Polymer Organization Providing New Functions.” The present issue surveys developments since that time in this field, especially applications to polymeric materials.
