COVER STORY
Water / Polymer Systems: Applied Fields |
Water is ubiquitous as an environment for polymers, whereas the full elucidation
of the interrelation among polymer structures, properties and high performances
in aqueous systems (e.g., bio-systems) remains a long-standing challenge.
At the same time, aqueous systems are now acknowledged for their importance in connection with environmental problems, and much application research is undertaken to utilize the positive features of water. In this issue, as a follow-up to the February edition on fundamental topics, we focused especially on the applied fields and related technologies by introducing some recent developments and topics.
