COVER STORY Origin of Polymer Structure Characterization: Special issue on the occasion of the 2014 International Year of Crystallography(IYCr2014) |
On the occasion of the 2014 International Year of Crystallography (IYCr2014), the Editorial Board of the Kobunshi, the journal of the Society of Polymer Science, Japan, has dedicated a special issue commemorating the role crystallography plays within polymer science and engineering as well as the history of crystallography in Japan. A set of papers by members of SPSJ, as well as special invitees, showcase the different crystallographic techniques used to characterize polymeric materials. Several review articles will also explore the crystallography of several important polymers. We hope that this special issue will serve as a lasting tribute to the impact that crystallography has had on polymer science and engineering. Editors: Guest Editor TAKAHARA, UEMURA, KOJIO, and YOKOYAMA |
