| The introduction of a twist in molecular and macromolecular structure often produces chirality and leads to regioregular arrangement of functional groups, which result in a creation of fascinating functional materials with signal transduction, reaction, molecular recognition, and separation properties. Recently twisting conjugated backbones has attracted attention in terms of providing perturbation of their electronic structures.
