COVER STORY Enjoy Your Life and Polymers! |
Diversity is a keyword for growth strategies in Japan, and it becomes necessary to utilize diverse human resources with different genders, different ages and different nations, in the face of globalization and an aging society with fewer children. Our lifestyles in research and work have diversified in times of accelerating change. The first step in “diversity” is respect and acceptance of the individual “difference”. It is also important to find great value in the “difference”. Various researchers from university, institutes and industries, including senior, mid-career, young, female and foreign researchers, contribute to this volume and introduce their lifestyles. There are some projects to promote the “diversity” in academia and industries, which is also introduced in this volume. It would be great if readers get a hint to find out their suitable lifestyles from various stories of their experience and contents of diversity projects. Editors: KOJIMA, SERIZAWA, KINBARA, TAKEOKA, and TSUNODA |
