COVER STORY Surviving & Thriving Polymers After COVID-19 |
After the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan in 2019, our lives have changed dramatically. Instead of waiting for the day when our old routines return under the threat of unknown viruses, we are starting to think about coexistence with COVID-19 in our new era. Polymers that detect, fight, and protect against the viruses have also received a great deal of attention. So far, how much do we know about COVID-19, the biopolymer itself? This issue broadly covers the rise and fall of COVID-19 mutation strategy, the polymer materials that have supported our fight, and how we have adapted new research lifestyles. Editors: KAMIKAWA, KOHSAKA, SASAKI, MURAOKA, and YABU |
