COVER STORY Success Stories of Research and Developmentin Companies |
In the 21st century, the world became a complicated society closely related to
environmental, economic, and political problems, etc. Therefore, it became
an age when the picture of the future is not drawn easily for young researchers
and students. However, the industry of our country continuously has been
generating splendid technologies and products of world class based on
the high-level ability of research and development through tremendous
efforts. It is very significant to learn from these examples about the
success stories of research and development in companies and the way
to commercialization in the companies in the age when a direction is
extremely difficult to see. Original approaches and episodes in the commercialization
attract great interest. Especially, the students
and young researchers are encouraged very much by reading success stories
of contributions to the society through the research and development
of companies. And, they wish them to have hope for the future. (Editors:YAMAMOTO, KAIDA, KIMATA, TANIGUCHI, MIKOSHIBA, and YAMAOKA) |
